Rispetto per l’ambiente: è il denominatore comune dei progetti presentati dai giovani architetti italiani al FRESH, il più innovativo appuntamento dell’architettura londinese. Respect for the environment is the common denominator of projects submitted by young Italian architects to FRESH, the most innovative appointment of London. Una pista di skateboard, uno stadio invisibile nella campagna senese, una discarica sotto un teatro: la nuova generazione di autori è consapevole dell’importanza di far convivere la creatività con l’uso sostenibile delle risorse energetiche. A trail skateboard, a level unseen in Siena, a landfill under a theatre: the new generation of authors is aware of the importance of creativity to live with the sustainable use of energy resources.
Torna tra giugno e luglio il London Festival of Architecture 2008 , l’ex Biennale di Architettura di Londra divenuto festival in virtù del grande interesse e partecipazione del pubblico all’evento. Back in June and July, the London Festival of Architecture 2008, the former Biennale of Architecture in London festival now under great interest and public participation in the event. Il tema del London Festival of Architecture 2008 , appuntamento importantissimo per le comunità di architetti e designer giunto quest’anno alla terza edizione, è FRESH !: FRESH Thinking, FRESH Talent, FRESH Approach, FRESH Air e FRESH Food. The theme of the London Festival of Architecture 2008, important appointment for the community of architects and designers come to this third edition, is FRESH!: FRESH Thinking, Talent FRESH, FRESH Approach, FRESH FRESH Air and Food.
Nel corso delle quattro settimane della ex “Biennale di Architettura di Londra” ci sarà spazio anche per i talenti italiani della progettazione: il ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, nell’ambito del progetto Sustainab.Italy - Contemporary ecologies. During four weeks of the former "Biennale of Architecture in London," there is also scope for the talents of Italian design: the Ministry for Cultural Heritage, the project Sustainab.Italy - Contemporary ecologies. Energies for Italian Architecture , ha infatti selezionato oltre 30 progetti, significativi in termini di sostenibilità, recupero del patrimonio artistico e inserimento all’interno del paesaggio, che verranno esposti a Londra negli spazi dell’Embassies Project, la sezione del festival che si propone di dare visibilità ai talenti emergenti nel campo dell’architettura e della progettazione provenienti da diversi paesi del mondo. Energies for Italian Architecture, has selected over 30 projects which are significant in terms of sustainability, recovery of the artistic heritage and inclusion within the landscape, which will be exhibited in London in public areas dell'Embassies Project, the section of the festival which aims to give visibility to emerging talents in the field of architecture and design from different countries in the world. Il progetto è a cura di Luca Molinari e di Alessandro D’Onofrio ed è stato sviluppato dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura in collaborazione con il Ministero degli Affari Esteri (DGPC-Direzione Generale per la promozione culturale e di cooperazione) ed il Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali (PARC - Direzione Generale per la qualità del paesaggio e la tutela, l’arte contemporanea e architettura). The project is edited by Luca Molinari and Alessandro D'Onofrio and was developed by the Italian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGPC Directorate-General for cultural promotion and cooperation) and the Ministry for Arts and Culture (PARC - Directorate General for the quality of the landscape and protection, contemporary art and architecture).
Il 24 giugno 2008 alle ore 19.00 la presentazione del video Sustainab.Italy presso l’Istituto italiano di cultura a Londra (39 Belgrave Square, evento gratuito con prenotazione obbligatoria, tel. 020 7396 4430), mentre l’esposizione è in programma dal 25 giugno al 20 luglio (dal lunedì al venerdì in orario 10.00-18.00, Viabizzuno showroom, 122 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 6ST). The June 24, 2008 at 19.00 hours the video presentation Sustainab.Italy at the Italian Cultural Institute in London (39 Belgrave Square, free event with reservations required, tel. 020 7396 4430), while the exhibition is scheduled from 25 June to July 20 (Monday to Friday 10.00-18.00 hours, Viabizzuno showroom, 122 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 6ST).
